Larry Jemison, Jr.
Larry Jemison, Jr. graduated from Tuskegee University in 1997 with a B.S. Degree in Marketing. While attending undergraduate studies, he was an active member of the Marketing Club, SIFE, Golden Key Honor Society and Delta Mu Delta Honor Society.
He received a M.S. in Entrepreneurial Finance from Babson College, Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business in 1999.
From 1997 until 2001, Larry was the Manager in the Financial Leadership Development Program at Lucent Technologies. In this role, he gained rigorous management experience across multiple corporate divisions. Some of his responsibilities included: Revenue Analyst, Finance Manager, Internal Auditor, Lead Trainer, and Marketing and Sales.
Larry Jemison, Jr. was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Novartis Pharmaceuticals from 2001-2002. He displayed highly effective territory management of physicians by promoting the sale of blood pressure, antiviral, and antifungal medication. Market shares in the territory grew 8% under his leadership. He has led sales teams in analyzing business operation processes to enhance product attractiveness, further develop product life cycles, continuously meet quotas, and maximize company revenues. Larry launched a new product for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
After five years of living in New Jersey, Mr. Larry Jemison, Jr. relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.
In 2003, he was a Contract Sales Representative for Omegasys, Inc. He detailed hospitals and private sector firms on Omegasys services, in an effort to grow revenue and ensure environmental compliance. He worked closely with cross-functional teams to provide accurate healthcare product and service information, as well as led sales training workshops that emphasized the “Customer Vision” philosophy. Larry also designed and explained presentations to the client as to the level of service Omegasys provides.
From 2003-2004, Larry was a Sales Executive for Lanier Worldwide. He sold document management solutions (copiers, printers, software), in a business to business environment, to Atlanta based firms while increasing Lanier revenues and the number of machines in the field. He quickly rose to #1 on the team when he closed on the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Perimeter Church accounts.
Larry utilized communication and closing skills in a full sales cycle (cold call environment) to sell a total of $30,000/month worth of equipment. He was recognized by the Vice-President of Sales as the top Representative in the District and #2 in the Region. He has won multiple awards for productivity and sales volume based on the number of appointments set, analyses conducted, presentations made, and sales generated.
For the last eight years, Larry Jemison, Jr. has served as President of the Jemison Group. His roles are Author, Consultant, and Motivational Speaker.
